Cheating isn’t as taboo as it was 25 years ago. More and more of it is going on within relationships, and for a variety of reasons. Both men and women are betraying each other, and sometimes the reasons aren’t as cliche as one might want to believe. Is it always fair to only blame the cheater for their decision to step out on their significant other? Here are several reasons women have admitted to why they cheated:
1. I only stayed for the children
Many women feel obligated to stay in their marriages because they feel that it is best for their children, but they are no longer in love with their husband. Their heart grows fond of someone else in the meantime, and eventually they can’t resist the urge to explore what it’s like to feel love again.
2. Neglected and Unloved
Women naturally want to feel needed and desired. It’s hard to stay faithful and focused on your relationship when your partner isn’t paying you any attention, or making you feel important. Maybe he isn’t making time for you, maybe he doesn’t tell you you’re pretty anymore, maybe he never notices when you do something different with your look the way that he used to. Meanwhile you have been turning down this one guy at work for months, and all he does is fawn over you and tell you how wonderful you are, and notices everything about you that makes you beautiful. Hard to resist?
3. I Got Married Too Young
Many women have admitted to feeling doubtful if their marriage was the right choice. Getting married young can be exciting and a huge adrenaline rush, but once it all sets in, and the honeymoon stage is over, did you make the right choice. At such a young age, and with so much life left to live, its no surprise that many women, and even men, may have second thoughts. It’s no surprise that they may wonder did they marry the man they can grow old with. Curiosity can often get the best of all of us!
A lot of times when a woman finds out that her husband or boyfriend is fooling around on them, their shock quickly turns into their revenge plot. Getting back at them makes you feel in control, and in some twisted way, it makes you feel better. Seeking the attention of other men soon becomes a game, and an exciting one at that. Making your husband/boyfriend feel insecure secretly makes your heart fill with joy. It all sounds so evil, but its an unfortunate reality.
5. My Insecurities Made Me Do It
We’ve all been there, all in love beyond our control, and just when you’ve gotten to our weakest and most vulnerable point with your guy, he stabs you in the heart making sure that every guy after you can never have you the way he did. Baggage and insecurities that come from old heartbreaks and relationships are the devil for new relationships. Many women who have been hurt in the past, have a hard time allowing themselves to get that close to another man. In fact, some women purposely sabotage their new relationships by cheating, the moment they feel like they are in too deep with their heart.
